MEET DR. STEVEN BRITTON
Changing Lives: One Person and One Smile at a Time
For Dr. Steven T. Britton, orthodontics is more than just straightening teeth. The differences in confidence and self-worth, in addition to improving oral health and function, lead to a transformation of the entire person.
For most people, a smile is first thing that one notices when meeting someone new. Being able to give a bright, beautiful, and self-assured smile to his patients makes Dr. Britton confident he has the best job in the world!
Education and Experience
Dr. Britton has been part of the dental field for over 15 years. He initially started as a dental assistant, before attending dental school and then specializing in orthodontics. His college, doctoral, and specialized education include:
- Degree in Public Health at George Washington University in Washington, DC
- Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD) at Rutgers School of Dental Medicine in Newark, NJ
- Orthodontics Residency and Master of Science (MS) at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA
Since finishing his orthodontics residency, Dr. Britton has loved working in what he considers to be “the greatest profession in the world,” transforming both teeth and confidence! He loves having a close connection with his patients; the smiles, happy tears, and hugs he receives when a patient sees their new smile makes him excited to come to work every day.

Professional Affiliations and Continuing Education
During dental school, Dr. Britton was selected to join the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society; he was one of eight students selected.
He is also an active member in good standing of the:
- American Association of Orthodontists
- American Board of Orthodontics
- Monmouth-Ocean County Dental Society
- American Dental Association
- New Jersey Dental Association
These organizations offer numerous avenues for Dr. Britton to stay current with the latest in techniques and technology, so he is able to provide the most efficient treatment with the best results. In addition to attending the Annual Session for the American Association of Orthodontists, he has completed the Tweed Study Course in Tucson, Arizona.
Driven to help others, Dr. Britton has participated in the annual Dentistry from the Heart event since 2012, providing free care to those in need. He also participates in Give Kids a Smile, which provides free oral healthcare to underserved children in our community.
Beyond the Office
Dr. Britton grew up right here in Monmouth County and always dreamed of delivering the best and brightest of smiles to his friends and neighbors. He lives right up the road from his office and you will likely see him in the community with his wife, Samantha, and their dog, Wesley.
